Description
Panoramic Imaging is a flexibly delivered course covering both theory and practical components. The theory components are online and self-directed whilst the practical component is delivery at TAFE SA in a workshop delivered by subject specialists and supervised by experienced professionals with dental radiography currency. The content of the program has been developed in consultation with the EPASA for panoramic licensing purposes.
Our resources are provided in interactive learning modules, which include videos and online quizzes, that can be accessed at any time prior to the on -campus components of the course. You should anticipate it will take 6-8 hours minimum of your own time, to complete the theory components.
After completing the online content, you will be required to attend a 3 hours practical session at the Gilles Plains campus. The dates for the workshops will be provided after you have registered into the course. The on-campus sessions are designed to consolidated the implementation of theory into the practical skills of taking panoramic films and critiquing your work.
After attending the on-campus workshop you will be required to submit an assessment that covers the learning materials of the course. You will be required to submit 10, critiqued, satisfactory or better panoramic films that you have taken under licensed supervision in your practice. An open book assessment is to be completed and submitted with 2 weeks of your workshops.
You will be provided with the relevant documentation to apply to the EIPA /licensing authority for the OPG condition to be added to your licence.

Approximately 4 weeks of online self-paced study, followed by a 1-day face to face workshop at Gilles Plains, then practical image gathering for up to 9 months.
